Sales Management 2.0

Okay fellow members - these are turbulent times and I feel blessed I have this opportunity. But I pose this -
How do I best manage the territory, what should be my first, second, third order of business?
What are some questions I can ask management to gain insight on goals, team and expectations?

Also I have been looking for a coach? Any recommendations?

Hi Remmy,

I am a huge fan of Sandler Sales Institute - they have trainers nationwide. Lets be honest, all the trainers are ok/good but some are amazing! I would ask around or go to one of their free classes and ask some current clients in the hallway what they think.

In my opinion sessions shouldn't be boring - sitting and listening. But role playing and almost hard. (practice with a tough trainer not with clients)

Lastly, I have software for frustrated sales managers that deals with prospecting and territory lead clustering yadda yadda.. I DO NOT want to spam so if you are interested in free trial message me...

Best o' Luck!

Dan

Dan:
Thanks for the response. I have heard of Sandler Sales - good things as well. Have attending a few Achieve Global seminars, with some good results. But any sales training in the long run comes down to really learning new skills then applying then in the field.

Territory lead clustering - sounds intresting. Do you have a link you can post?

Thanks
Renny

Only because you bent my arm backwards ; )

Sadly I cant post a link but its OneLead ( ) com

Admins no hard feelings if you have to remove the link!

Besides only giving you leads in that territory, it will cluster them by your location (office, earlier appt) plus after every call the brain will see whats working and show you more (SIC codes, emp counts, etc)
Finding you the closest hot lead.

We offer a free trial FYI and I can extended it if you tell me you are from Salesmanagement20.com forum..

Check out the EcSELL Institute! www.ecsellinstitute.com.
We provide educational and developmental programs and information to sales managers. We are not a consultant. Rather, we help you find answers to your specific questions by sourcing fact based research, case studies, white papers around the 6 key drivers of productivity plus sales leadership and management. We also offer monthly webinars where we drill down into one of those key drivers (i.e. talent acquistions and ID or sales metholodology etc). We bring in third party experts who bring proven solutions and council to speak during the webinars. Next we hold an annual Sales Management Summit.
