Welcome to Sales Management 2.0!

Sales Management 2.0 provides a number of interactive ways for you to share and learn with others. We encourage open conversations because we believe everyone has something to contribute regardless of position or tenure in the field. As sales and marketing professionals we're at our best when we're listening, but it is equally important for you to speak up and join the conversation. This is your community. Thanks for joining Sales Management 2.0 a community for sales professionals by sales professionals.

When I first started my sales blog back in June of 2007 my goal was to gain two way communication with an audience so I could learn from others as much as I was teaching. What I learned over time was that blogs were better than static web pages for communicating with people, but I was still longing for that feeling of community that is hard to get from a single blog. I finally feel I have created that community I was looking for here at Sales Management 2.0. Below I will share a few tips to help get you started.

Tips

• Fill out your profile completely and include a picture or other avatar if possible. Your avatar is your identity online. You don't want others to view you as a little grey shadow do you?
• Introduce yourself in the forums.
• Do not be afraid to comment on blog posts or join other discussions in the forums. A community is not much fun if no one talks!
• Write a blog post. Writing blog posts is as much about learning as it is about sharing with others. Some of my biggest Aha ha! moments have come during the writing process or from well written comments from others.
