Reaching Out To Your Prospect

Shoot the Salesman, a sales comic by Nesh

There is one hard rule that we all live by, it is a devastating truth that some of us will realise and others will blithely ignore in a vain attempt at diverting the inevitable. Some of us will never realise it.... and that rule is….

Dads are NEVER cool!

I take particular glee in this new… Continue

How Powerful Are Gatekeepers?

Gatekeepers are essentially conduits that control the flow of information to where you want it to go. My background has always been in web design, and though my job… Continue

Showdown With Customers at High Noon

I am a huge fan of Sergio Leone’s “Dollars Trilogy” starring Clint Eastwood as the ‘Man with no name’. The main character in this film embodies a tough, cool and unbeatable exterior, calm under pressure, always thinking ahead and outsmarting enemies and doing it with a dry sense of humour. Secretly, I think, a lot of men (myself included) would love to be that character, to demand respect when you walk into town and to get what you want by being cooler and more determined that everyone else.

It… Continue

Is there a place for comedy and sales?

For those on LinkedIn, you might have seen that I was in the process of researching and writing up some sales based web comics. Now, I'm no Charles Schultz or Gary Larson but I have found this project a really interesting and rewarding exercise, not only in internally looking at business processes (as is often the case… Continue

Happy 4th of July! Well, it's an odd date, odd time, and odd weekday to start a discussion about business. But, "hey," I have a perfect excuse, "I am not in the USA." So here we go. I want to ask you, if you are using Facebook in your business/...
